We offer a completely custom service, working with you exclusively to design and provide a luxurious wedding cake experience. Cake Designer and Owner of Violet & Ivy Cake Design, LEANNA SHERIFF

A former biologist, she started Violet & Ivy Cake Design after several years of working corporate jobs. Leanna has always had a love for baking, passed down from her mom and her grandparents.

Her love of baking and cake art has a wide and interesting history. From growing up on a farm and baking clay cookies in the sun to earning a bachelor of science in biology, Leanna has always had a passion for baking, experimentation and art.

In 2017, she decided to combine her passion for baking, design and science and made the bold move to launch Violet & Ivy Cake Design.

Her cake decorating style has evolved over the years from the once clay cookies to sophisticated designs that are often described by customers as timeless and elegant.

With many recommendations from previous clients, you will have peace of mind that Leanna will handle every aspect of your wedding cake design process including liaising with your venue, your florist as well as the professional delivery and set-up of your wedding cake.

WHO IS VIOLET & IVY?

We are often asked how did we come up with the name “Violet & Ivy Cake Design”
Well, my mom is my best friend, my biggest supporter and one of the most influential people in my life.

I wanted a name that reflected our bond. My mom’s favorite colour is purple, her birthstone is amethyst and she absolutely loves flowers. I chose “Violet” to symbolize my mom.My name, Leanna means graceful meadow and dweller of the woods and vines. My birthstone is emerald. I chose “Ivy” to symbolize myself.

Together, Violet & Ivy symbolize the unconditional love between a mother and daughter. Violet & Ivy Cake Design create beautiful edible art made with love.
